One of the best things that happened to me last year was meeting my friend Brooke West. She is a phenomenal graphic designer and chalk artist. Her work has been featured in Pottery Barn Kids, REstyleSOURCE and EMMA Magazine. I’m so happy to have her here today to share the chalk art menu she made for our anniversary photo shoot.
“I’m forever a fan of upcycling and had lots of fun scavenging for this little chalkboard project. Not only do you save a few bucks by building you’re own board but you can also create it custom to the size you need. For the frame I used old boards with rusty nails to add a bit of character and backed it with a piece of Lauan coated in chalkboard paint. And as a graphic designer and hand-letterer myself, what chalkboard would be complete without a personalized message to the special couple. Cheers!” ~Brooke
