Thank you to Cost Plus World Market for sponsoring today’s recipe and giveaway!
There are many traditions my husband and I hold close to our hearts, especially during the holidays. All our traditions involve spending more time with family and friends. This year, we will continue to do what we do best and host several holiday food making sessions, which includes a baking marathon with our loved ones. Yes, Ginger and Honey Golden Doughnuts will be had over and over again. Hooray!
What I like about this recipe is that it begins with Sof’ella Ginger Bread Mix. I don’t use a ton of mixes, but this one is ideal for two reasons. One, it lends itself well to being doctored up with other ingredients, so the flavors you can create are endless. My favorite ingredients to add to this mix are Ginger People Baker’s Crystallized Ginger Chips and Orino Flower & Thyme Honey. Two, it’s a time saver, which is so important because making memories, rather than slaving away in the kitchen, is a much more valuable way to spend your time.
Now for the fun part, I partnered with Cost Plus World Market to turn this mix into doughnuts. Don’t they look so much sweeter as rings, instead of a traditional loaf? I think so. It also fits well with the 12 Days of Baking event that’s happening right now on their blog. While this is a bit more than five golden rings (I’m not complaining and I’m sure you’re not either), it definitely gets me into the holiday spirit. With that said, I have a sweepstakes you’ll totally want to know about.
The Great Holiday Baking Sweepstakes is in full swing. It began on November 21, 2016 and will continue through the end of the year (December 31, 2016). There are really big prizes up for grabs, including multiple $500 gift cards to Cost Plus World Market. The biggest bounty of them all is the grand prize. It’s a trip for two to London! You won’t have to worry about airfare or where to stay. You’ll only have to fret over who will enjoy the pastry class and guided food tour more. Oh, I shouldn’t forget to say the prize package includes a $1,000 gift card to the store, so you’ll have plenty of money to recreate my recipe and outfit your home with the best foods, beverages, kitchen essentials and more.
