With less than a month until Easter, it seemed only right to team up with World Market to host an Easter brunch. With my partners in crime, we hosted the loveliest of brunches. It featured beautiful spring colors and a bounty of World Market goodies. I, of course, tackled food and beverages and came up with a pretty awesome menu that’s simple to execute because most items are easily prepared in advance.
The menu included:
Ebelskivers – Prepared three ways, these Danish pancakes can be filled or left as-is for enjoyment. I used World Market’s Ebelskiver Mix for easy preparation. If served plain, top the treat with fresh berries and a light dusting of powdered sugar.
Filled Ebelskivers – For a surprise, fill these pancakes with World Market’s Triple Berry Jam and finish with a lemon zest glaze.
Savory Ebelskivers – There’s no reason you couldn’t make ebelskivers savory. Add some heat with jalapeño peppers and a bite with sharp cheddar cheese. Cool it down with homemade green onion whipped butter.
Crepes with Biscoff Spread, Strawberries and Cream – I think this dish speaks for itself. The Biscoff Spread turns a pretty simple crepe into a gourmet experience. You can pick up Crepe Mix at your local World Market.
Spiked Raspberry Lemonade – When the kids are away, pour yourself a glass of this thirst-quenching lemonade. World Market has the perfect pitcher for this.
For the exception of the beverages and crepes, everything else can be prepared a day or two before guests arrive, leaving you with little to do the day of your brunch. Without these ladies and World Market, this brunch would definitely lack flair. Great job gals!
