The glitz and glam of a New Year’s celebration is exactly what’s needed to ring in 2015. While I come up with some resolutions of my own, I know for sure I’ll be welcoming the new year with a bit of gold.
In the case of food, simple desserts are all that’s needed. Raspberry and granola parfaits layered in a single-serve trifle dish makes for easy snacking. Affix disposable wooden spoons with gold washi tape to the parfaits, so guests can easily take, enjoy and mingle. For cupcakes, bake them in advance and freeze the desserts until New Year’s Eve. Take them out a couple of hours before guests arrive to thaw, frost and pop them into festive cupcake liners that match the event. And meringues are easy enough, but for speediness, pick some premade ones up at the store and spray them with edible gold paint. You can find some great instructions here at my friend Kristi’s blog.
Of course, all these treats were specifically made to match one of my favorite beverages, Rondel GOLD Brut Cava. A trip to your local Total Wine is all you need to pick up a few bottles to share with friends and family. Bubbly and sweet, this bottle is wrapped in a beautiful gold label, making it a lovely centerpiece for the bar.
This drink serves well chilled on its own, but I want my guests to enjoy a variety of sips. To do this and ensure I don’t break the bank, I’ve come up with several Rondel GOLD cocktails that incorporate herbs, sorbet, berries and even beer.
I’ll be sharing cocktail recipes and crafts featured in this spread in the coming days. Trust me, you’ll have plenty of time to recreate this lovely party at home before guests arrive to pop the cork.
In the meantime, be sure to get your decorations in order. For all gold and black party supplies, especially those featured here, make sure to visit The TomKat Studio Shop for the necessities. You should also take a peek at their New Year’s-inspired products.
Need some home furnishings, decor or just inspiration? Head to FOUND where this spread was photographed. I’m always in heaven when I go here and never walk out without a new item making it to my wish list.
The best part, both FOUND and The TomKat Studio are located in the same place, so you’ll only have to make one stop. Cheers to both stores for supplying many of the beautiful items showcased throughout this golden New Year’s Eve party.
