I’m not a big coffee drinker and most might even say I enjoy a nice splash of coffee into my chilled mixture of cream and sugar. But as I get older, I can appreciate the art of roasting coffee beans and turning it into artwork. Those baristas – they are quite the painters. I recently read about what goes into making designs in coffee and was mesmerized. You can watch a video here to learn about the technique. Pretty interesting stuff.
I’ll learn to make pretty designs one of these days so I can show my husband my skills, but for now a simple pour is perfect. My favorite part is the change of shades when the cream hits the rich, ebony coffee and begins to swirl delightfully to caramel colors. It’s so pretty.
Anyways, those are just a few thoughts I wanted to share about coffee. Feel free to check out these great links I found that will have you experimenting with your roasted cup of coffee. Have a sip for me!
