This past weekend was superb. I spent the day with Jessica Downey as she taught me about photo editing and shooting beautiful images. It was a pleasure learning from someone with so much passion for their work and a wonderful reminder of why I do what I do:
- Writing about food because I love telling a story
- Photographing food because I want to share what I love
- Constantly challenging myself with new recipes because I love to enjoy delightful food with my family and friends
So I wanted to give you a sneak peek of all that was enjoyed and consumed on our day together, and yes, there will be recipes coming soon for these delicious eats. Yay!
If you’d like to learn more about Jessica’s mentoring program, click here. I highly recommend the mentoring and the “learn how to use your camera” workshop. I’ve now experienced both and can say it has changed the way I shoot and edit my photos. By chance if you don’t need either, but would like a change of pace to test your creativity, you should join the Project Ten Challenge. Each month a new theme will debut for you to interpret through your own photography. It’s a great way to share a story through your photos, challenge yourself creatively and grow as an artist.
