The year began off rough, but as my 27th birthday rolled around, things began to look up and I will admit, a year that began so disappointingly may actually turn out to be the best ever. New experiences, friends and opportunities and the support of my family made the difference.

So to share the big news. One of the best highlights of 2012 was all thanks to Kim of The TomKat Studio. I was privileged to contribute savory foods to her Pink & Gold New Year’s Eve Party for HGTV.com! What a great experience and let me just say, styling food away from home is so much harder…I learned so much – an invaluable experience indeed. I will cherish this forever and can only hope I’ll be invited back to contribute again.
