Our Winter Edible Garden

Our home is coming together, and finally we got around to creating our winter edible garden. What do you think? We are quite fortunate to have the room for so many plants and because we love to eat, there was no question that we wanted everything to be edible. Luckily, my friends’ parents were in town and they have quite the experience growing food on their own, so I picked their brains to get the ins and outs of what to expect and plan for. Lots of good info for sure, and many, if not all, were considered when purchasing our little guys.

Now that all our plants have their section I like to call “home” in our yard, we begin all the steps necessary to help them take root and grow. While we’d love for all these good eats to survive, realistically this is our first full garden and as long as 75% make it, we will call that a success.

I’ll be posting periodically about how each plant is doing as well as pass on my experiences to you just in case you’d like to create your own edible garden one day.

For now, I leave you on the edge of your seat because this week you can expect a new recipe and maybe an introduction to a plant in our wonderful garden.
