This past weekend was all about French eats. How couldn’t it be? Julia’s milestone birthday was around the corner and so was mine. Meanwhile, I’m decorating our kitchen area to be French industrial themed. It was the perfect time for French food indeed.
So for my birthday dinner we headed to Scratch Pastries, a place I’ve heard so much about and rightfully so because the food was impeccable.
My sister enjoyed Chicken in Curry and Coconut Sauce with Rice Pilaf and Ben – Jumbo Shrimp in Japanese Sauce with Organic Soba Noodles (not super French, but darn good).
Matt and I had Grilled Duck Confit with Sauteed Potatoes and Citrus Sauce. Can I please have the recipe for the sauce because it made the dish and I would love to use it on just about everything I eat - it was that good.
Dinner ended with a citrus liqueur soaked cake with cream cheese mousse and a citrus topping.
It was a delightful birthday dinner and may I recommend you visit Scratch Pastries.

Scratch is one of my favorite places!
