A Foodie Wedding: Guest Book

While a guest book may be the last thing on your mind when planning a wedding, perhaps a little creativity will bump it up on your list of fun things to tackle. I’ve seen so many versions of guest books – the traditional sign-a-book, a fun wishing tree and of course, signing the mat board of a framed photo. Because I’m going a tad bit more traditional or as I like to call it “classic,” a book is a fabulous idea and would be a wonderful piece to include in a bookshelf later that is filled with all my favorite cookbooks. I envision it to be fun and thoughtful. So in addition to having guests sign their name, I would include a space that is titled, “We’re so glad you could come. We’d love to have you over for dinner soon. What would you like to have?” Because the wedding is about new beginnings, it’s a great way to invite loved ones to be a part of it, and I think guests would enjoy the idea of getting to choose what they’d like to eat as they dine with you – a newly married couple.
