As mentioned earlier in the week, I was working on something super cute for a one year old’s birthday party this weekend and here it is! A fondant baby lion with a sweet one sitting in a bed of leaves. My goal was to make the lion look as youthful as possible and wouldn’t you know, leaving off the whiskers achieved that look perfectly.
While the face of the lion is absolutely darling, it’s the small details that makes me smile. In this case, it’s the tail that brings me joy.
Anyways, I can’t wait for the birthday boy to receive his cake with my creations on them. Happy birthday to the special guy…I hope you have a roaring good time!

That’s so cute! It would look great combined with one of my baby animals party pack!
Thanks so much! Your party packs are so wonderful. Maybe we can do a joint venture in the future.
I still love this SO much! It was beyond perfect for his smash birthday cake! I loved it so much that I couldn’t spare for him to touch it or anyone to eat it, so I still have it in our fridge. Not sure what I am going to do with it now, I wish I could save it forever! It’s SO perfect! Thank you SO much again! Your are the best!
I’m so glad you love it! I can tell you that it is perfectly fine to keep it for several years and reuse. The sugar content in the fondant will ensure that it does not go bad, but I don’t suggest eating it. Thanks again for including me in your party!
Hello would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re working with? I’m
going to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a tough time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking
for something unique. P.S Apologies for getting off-topic but
I had to ask!
Sure! I use WordPress and the theme I use is Genesis, which ultimately is a really basic version that was able to be moved around to fit my needs. I’m not the greatest at web design, so I don’t have any tips other than playing around with it. I hope that helps and please share your blog with me when it is up and running.
