The hubby and I are almost settled into our new home and while we are living among boxes, we are just thankful to be able to purchase our first home together. And as you can probably tell, we are officially connected again! Being without the Internet for days was quite difficult and my iPhone has been my only source to the food and entertaining world. It’s been tough to say the least. However, it has given me plenty of time to enjoy the company of my family, ooh and aah over my new double oven range and think about Baked by Joanna’s future.

So what is in my future? That’s a good question and one that has been asked many times by others as well as myself. When I look back at everything I’ve done to date, my blog has grown to become a website I am so proud of, yet there seems to be a void I’ve been searching to fill. There are three things I know for sure: I love food, being the hostess and writing. I’ve been able to share just about all aspects of my passions through my website for the exception of one – simply cooking. While I love to bake and will continue to do so with no hesitation, food is so much more. It’s about the experience of shopping for delicious ingredients at the market, creating a wonderful meal to be enjoyed with family and friends and learning about the culture and techniques behind preparing foods. Whether I’m baking, sauteing, roasting or frying, it all boils down to just cooking. So for me to be fully satisfied, the growth of my website and the recipes and entertaining ideas I share will now encompass anything and everything food related. I hope you will enjoy the posts to come; I know I’m excited to embark on this new journey.
