Best of 2011 Recipes

So it occurred to me that I should take a moment to reflect on the best Baked by Joanna recipes of 2011. What better way to celebrate a successful year of baking right? So here we go.

Fan Favorite – Pistachio Cardamom Cookies
Something I was proud to find out this year was that my Pistachio Cardamom Cookies were considered someone’s favorite cookie. That made me so happy! You can read about it here.

Local’s Pick – Java Almond Chip Cookies
This treat was actually my best seller at a local boutique this year, so much so that people kept returning to purchase more only to find out that I sold out. Who would’ve known that one of my faves would be someone else’s as well?

Overseas Hit – Choconut Cookies
Baked by Joanna even made it to a kitchen overseas this year and to my surprise, I have a fan that lives in Italy. Shout out to Un biscotto al giorno!

Picture Perfect – Blueberry Crumb Bars
I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Sweet Rose Studio this year on a photo shoot (or two) and she absolutely did a wonderful job capturing one of my favorite treats. So pretty.

Best Revamped Treat – Cinnamon Oatmeal Biscotti
Let’s not forget my Cinnamon Oatmeal Biscotti that was revamped from the traditional Almond Biscotti. This one definitely gets the Baked by Joanna stamp of approval.

Savory Standout – Goat Cheese and Rosemary Roasted Garlic
Baking is not only sweet, it can be savory too and my Goat Cheese and Rosemary Roasted Garlic paired with flatbread was definitely a savory snack that I was proud of.

Well that was tough, but I did it and was proud to go through my recipe collection to see my progress in 2011. What an accomplishment if I can say so myself. Now for 2012 – a year of baking that will surpass all my projects to date. Go #bake365!
