Should I be surprised that this week’s special cake comes from Half Baked – The Cake Blog? Of course not! I love this zippity zigzags, chevron-patterned cake. This beautiful treat was made especially for BRIDES Magazine and boy did it deserve the recognition.

The two-tiered round cake was made extremely tall and the individually cut fondant, chevron tiles were well worth the work. I love the teal and sky blue, but the deep orange was what made the cake pop. I must say, great selection of colors. Last but not least, the crafty flower added the right touch to give it a bit of flirty flavor.
Overall, a fantastic cake!
Very cute cake! I’m not surprised either. Zig zag, triangles, geometric… its all so popular right now. And rightly so! Love the colors too.
