Milkshakes & a Movie

I can’t think of a better way to spend an ultra hot summer day than with friends, milkshakes and a movie. Thanks to Smart & Final, I was able to host a little shindig this past weekend that included tons of First Street ice cream and products to help us keep cool.

Just look at all the fun. With so many ingredients, flavor combos and creative taste buds in the house, I couldn’t help but secretly want to try them all, but let’s face it, pool season is still here and I have to watch my girlish figure.

I was so happy some tiny guests came along to enjoy the festivities too. I received a happy seal of approval from this little lady.

Of course, I couldn’t help but create my own recipe. This frosty little treat was just what I needed to fan away the 100+ degree weather.

Banana Caramel Freeze Milkshake

Serves 1

Ingredients
3 large scoops First Street Vanilla Ice Cream
3 tbsp First Street Caramel Topping
1 large banana
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup milk
First Street Whipped Topping

Directions
Fill a blender with all the ingredients, but withhold a 1/2 tablespoon of First Street Caramel Topping. Turn on the blender and mix the ingredients until completely combined, about a minute.

Using the remaining First Street Caramel Topping, drizzle the caramel along the inside of a glass. Pour the milkshake into the glass, add First Street Whipped Topping and enjoy.

Once all the milkshakes were made, we flopped on the couch to enjoy our featured presentation and even more (mostly) homemade treats from the snack bar.
