I had tons of fun this 4th of July relaxing at the pool and hanging out with friends. Luckily the fireworks show was close enough to my friend Dave’s home that we were able to enjoy it in the front yard. Unfortunately, the heat was a bit unbearable, so we didn’t get to see much. Oh well, I enjoy the company of my friends over fireworks any day. Part of my contribution to this 4th of July was my Cherry Crumble. Yes…this was the initial dessert that created the Cherry Crunch Cake. I thought I did a good job making the dish, but will definitely add more streusel (the “crumble”) in the future. I underestimated the amount needed when tripling the recipe. All in all, pretty yummy. 🙂 You can never go wrong with brandied cherries.
